couldn't knew how life will take such fast turns..i had been dreaming to go for vipassana from such a long time,i had already mentioned in my previous blogs.it seems as if i might finally get a chance of joining the course.
it so happened that yesterday i was surfing an MBA college's site and found that the students are made to compulsorily undergo the course ,so it renewed my hidden hunger to enroll for the course.i promptly checked vipassana site and found that a course is starting from 18-29th.its the only time which suits me as on 29th i have to leave for my sis's wedding.
i am wait listed, hoping they give me a chance to attend it.i am very much exited to join it especially after talking to a gentleman on the phone for confirmation.on the down side i will miss my mom's bday which is coming soon.still thinking how should i make her happy even in my absence.i have one day to act on it.
its been 2 days that i have been going for jog at sigra stadium.i am happy that my legs are not aching and i am feeling quite comfortable running on ground.i was little concerned thinking i will be able to run or not because some week back my leg was aching and i had to see my doctor.though he advised me to not exert any further physical pressure on legs but i think i have a good feeling and understanding as to what i should do with my legs.
i am running and feeling absolutely okay..wish nothing bad happens..feeling a sense of well being and not guilty eating all those rich ghar ka khana.
wrote a good article on business standard in the students corner about the issue of quality of so many IITs opening up.
i think my answer is not that bad and should be considered by judges since from few weeks i am observing that most of the replies are coming from average b-schools,may be because IIM guys are too busy with their internships.so judges will not have a reason to be partial..wish i get my answer for print.it will bring my college into limelight and give it more recognition.

why OPS
so today is my second day at home and i am already feeling as if i am just wasting my time.i am constantly feeling that i must utilize my time in something really constructive ,something which will add more bullet points to my resume.i have already missed so much during my college years that i have to work hard a lot.
as i told you that i am looking for some insight on supply chain management, which is the closest i can relate my MBA with my engg.
today, for most part of my day i had been pondering over the specialization thing.people have been advising me that i have lots of time left during my 1st year of MBA to choose my specialization.and their suggestion is based on the premise that i can know my strengths ,weakness and natural bent of mind once i know more about the subject.
somewhere deep withing me i am of different view though i agree what they say.
my point is that i should rather choose a spec now after doing some research and ground work so focus more on that spec right from the start instead of waiting for one full year and living under a thick cloud of confusion.the reason i am differing from them is because my college is offering finance, ops,hr,it and marketing.i have eliminated marketing because of the prejudice that it is more of outside work and it will involve a lot of traveling and is more people centric job ,which would also involve door to door job.though i know that marketing is not just constrained to just door to door, its including lots of other challenging prospects but i still want to keep some distance from marketing.and we have marketing as a compulsory course in 2nd year.
i don't want hr because it is more of soft skills job and i have not seen many instances of engineers joining HR as their spec.
finance i wont choose because i have met several people and they have told me that the core finance job is very hard to get and its mostly reserved for iim grads ,another reason is that it requires superb analytical skill i honestly i lack.though i am not afraid of taking it as a challenge.
so operations is left as a spec which is very much technical, engineers are preferred,i would be working with MBA who are engineers like me so i can relate with them, its is not a niche field and ops people are employable by all kinds of industries ,its not too much outdoor as compared to marketing,by doing certi you can move up a ladder quite faster.
and i believe in the ideology that there is nothing called boring, you need to work upon it to build your interest and when you know that taking a particular spec is the correct decision then if you give it enough time you can develop good liking towards it,as liking is developed when understanding is followed.
for understanding you need to put hard work which i am ready to always.
so the question is when i have already decided where i am going to,why not work on it and focus all my energy onto it,in that way i will be in a better place as compared to my batch mates during exams and placements, and if i complete my certi within 2yrs i can have an edge during placements.
so with this i have made up my mind that ops is the way to go,no confusion here on.

at last i am back home after going through the ordeal of last semester of engg exams..god what a respite..i am very so much at peace that i have finished my engg.it was when that i was in train and i was coming back home that i thought that this was the same train, the same route ,the same month 6yrs ago that i was going to pune to start my engg and now with everything same i am coming back home closing in with a degree.
and here i am at home with absolutely nothing to do..i am just loving it.
i came here yesterday, and i must say that the weather out here is very hot.i have hardly gone out due to such heat.plus i find just no reasons to go out as i don't have any friends here.
i am gorging on home made food, bought few good books to read ,i mean this is the perfect way for me to chill at home.
i have good books to read, family to kid around, eat great food, surf net with a good speed(my PC at hostel sucked big time).
well i have heard that my joining date for MBA is going to be around 15th July.that ,means almost a month ,so how have i planned to use this month.honestly i haven't given much thought on it.though i am thinking how should i make it more productive and one thing which comes to my mind most is i should read a lot of books which i had missed,i have found a new love for reading autobiographies, and whenever i have time i just read.i am kind of racing against time to finish as many books as i can.
i thought of working on my arithmetic skills too,i tries solving some probability probs today morning but couldn't last long.
so am still guessing what should be the ideal way to spend my time,or how do achievers spend their holidays?am i doing a bad job by reading quality books and surfing net, bogging, researching on OPS.
today was my cousin's bday.we had bought a nice cake for her, clicked good pictures.i loved being so much with my extended family.

chilling for this eve
so finally the d day arrived today.i had been waiting for exams to start from quite a long time.had been putting the days and night as one just to leave a mark on the exams this time.
today i have given my first exam.electronic measurement systems.
the name may look scary but the subject is actually just the repetition of what we all have been studying since 2nd year.
very much theoretical subject.i chipped in 3and 1/2 days for the final preparation and gave this paper today.paper was bit easy and very much predictable.mostly repeated questions and very much lengthy.but i still managed to complete it on time.phew!!
next paper is telecommunication network and management.it is again similar to computer networks which we did last sem.easy, theoretical and very subjective.you just have to boast about all networks an bull shit.
but i will not leave any room for losing marks.
i have to go to meet my friend from Delhi ,he just called me some time back and i don't want to disappoint him since that i know that today i can afford chilling but now tomo.
and today is the birthday of a good friend of mine.so ill have to make sure that i get a cake and have him cut it.he deserves cutting a cake at least ,so what we have exams.
may be ill try to call him to mg road or somewhere from where i can get a small cake and have a small celebration..
see ya!!

elated !!
hi all,
its 3 am in the morning and i am preparing for my exams in the courtyard of my PG.i like the place for studying during night because its open ,airy with cool breeze coming from time to time.
but today i had to wind up my books and come back to my room because instead of breezes suddenly it started windy.i am so exited, the weather has gone so good all of a sudden ,it has been a really good respite from the chilly summer we have been witnessing from lat few months.
i am lucky to being some of the few people who have experience the onset of this new season.
the sky has gone orange and there are signs of rain.
well, but i still have to control my excitement and focus on my studies.though feeling hungry and have promised my friend that we will go for breakfast at 4 am..the places are open at this odd hour here. open guys..pune has good places to chill at.
in the meanwhile, ill quickly check out my orkut community(the day i have joined it,feel irresistible to check it now and then) and then ill finish few remaining topics and then off for POHA..HE HE HAA HA HAAA..

sitting job
exams are nearing day by day.i have my final sem exams starting from 26th of this month.and with each day passing by i am getting more nervous with fear and tension trickling down my brains.no matter this is the time during the sem when i find my Grey cells most active.
actually from last few days i have been conditioned with this 'sitting job',
no its not what u are guessing.the fear and exam hysteria is looming all over the place so much so that i have literally locked up myself in my small cocoon(read room).
i hardly feel like doing any thing except burying myself in the books, though i have off late started finding enough time for lunch, cutting chai in supper and a sumptuous dinner).whow what a delight..
i know you may call me a geek this time but i don't mind accepting those adjectives because this sem the situation is not so blues..i saw my last sem result and it dashed all my hopes, how quixotic i was,i was under impression that since i am doing nothing except studying i must be sailing across wonderfully but the results brought out the truth.i merely afford to pass.i analyzed thoroughly and i understood that though i had given enough time for my prep but the way it should been was not right.i skipped some important topics, didn't made an meticulous schedule and i had no clear cut target.
i am trying hard this time not to repeat all my previous mistakes, just wish this time i achieve what i aspire.
you must be wondering what i have been doing all throughout the day in my room.well when i am bogged down by my studies i find my solace from business standard,my newly joined community on orkut, listening to my repeated collection on the ipod.
dude there are guys in my class i know they are so much focused that i believe that they wont be finding even time to think about 'solace'.
that's an adjective saved for me,a mediocre thinker.
have to go for dinner in some time and when i am back ill still have to finish a complete unit of microwave optics.
god give me enough motivation that i finish it off by tonight without thinking abt my 'solace'.

lines to live by!!
hi all ,so i am gain back with my philosophical distasteful blogs.i ha vent read any self help books nor have i conquered something great that i am a guy who would do much justice by preaching some important lessons which are required about life but i am very sure that if not much then i can still add some really important tips which are going to be very important things to achieve success in life.
i have also had a fair share of my experiences, struggles and with my experience i can safely say few things:
the single most important thing in life is :keep thinking, one should be a thinker, think about everything, increase your dimension of perspective regarding everything, analyze critically even the minutest things, bring the morality, ethics into the picture.
always think positive,be a fighter, when you are in hard times, most people give up because they cannot sustain the uncomfortable environment as they are not used to it.but if you stick by it little long enough,u will sail through it very easily.
try to keep your default mind mode into introspection mode.it helps because it helps you make better judgments.
over few days i am quite concerned with few issues.
by now you all know that i have got admitted to an average level B-school.the admission criterion was not very rigid which translated into the fact that anyone with an average IQ can get admission very easily so i have to be prepared that i am mostly going to be with mediocre guys.the big question is how do i bring the best of my skills even while surrounding with those people.there will be instances when the people who try to dissuade me or demotivate me which will make me to re look on my aggressiveness and speed of execution.so how do i ignore all of that ,keep myself cool and maintain focus.
